Who We’ve Served

Care for Our Musicians

The Musician Treatment Foundation is a nonprofit that helps professional musicians access free upper limb orthopedic care when they cannot afford the care they need.

MTF assists injured musicians, whether they are at home or on the road, by orchestrating referrals to its international Physicians for Musicians Network of compassionate, expert orthopedic surgeons.

We are privileged to share the stories and talents of the musicians assisted by MTF, including a few who came to us only for a referral. All of them are paying it forward to other musicians to let them know that MTF is here to help. We invite you to share their stories and help keep the music playing for us all!

“Approximately four weeks after surgery by Dr. Ben Amis, I resumed playing the viola and was pleasantly surprised to find that once-arduous
passages now felt remarkably effortless, thanks to newfound flexibility.

I am profoundly grateful to the Musician Treatment Foundation for the transformative effects of my medical procedure, the benefits of which have far exceeded my expectations.”

– Gerald Liu, Violist & Music Teacher | MTF Support Beneficiary
